About Shayne

I’m Shayne (she/her) and I write sexy romantic fiction and romance intertwined with the woman’s journey. My stories always include hot sex, witty banter, and a killer playlist. I entangle my heroines in compelling love triangles—the kind where both her choices are strong contenders. My female leads are Black/biracial and the romance is interracial because it’s what I longed to see on the page when I was growing up. While I embrace the angst that often comes from dealing with dark subject matter, I handle it with humor and heart. Much like my approach to life.

I was a finalist in the Erotic/BDSM Unpublished category of the Contemporary Romance Writers 2019 Stiletto contest and winner of the 2018 Best Banter Contest, Contemporary Romance Unpublished Category. I was chosen as one of the mentees in RWA’s inaugural Romance Author Mentorship Program (RAMP) for unpublished authors.

I’m a member of Romance Writers of America (RWA) and my local chapter Land of Enchantment Romance Authors (LERA).

I’m represented by Katie Thomas of Beck Literary Agency.

When I’m not pacing the floor working on a plot point or doing a fist pump when a scene goes right, I’m gazing out the window at the backyard birds or dancing to YouTube videos in my living room.
