At the beginning of July I posted about how I was participating in Camp NaNo. My goal was to write 35,000 words and get to the end of act two in the second book of my Reveal Me series. Did I make it?

No. No, I did not.
I finished at 26,329 words.
Life happens. I had a two day migraine and then a day recovering and there was just no coming back from that.
I’m glad I participated, though. I truly believe I got further along than I would have otherwise. Camp NaNo / NaNoWriMo provides extra motivation and moral support that pushes you just a little bit further.
Toward the end of Camp NaNo I did some replotting because I had compressed the timeline of the ordeal and didn’t address changes to the scenes before the accelerated timeline. It’s all worked out now. So I can hit the ground running, so to speak, now that it’s August.
Any other Camp NaNo participants out there? How did you fare?
